The Landscape
The beautiful nature in the region Achterhoek is mainly due to the work of an ancient farmer culture. Small-scale farmers created a picturesque landscape with monumental farms, extensive meadows, ancient trees and winding roads. The meadows are bordered with hedgerows, bushes and thick old trees. Besides colorful and flowery grasslands, you also find here manors, estates, streams and sandy roads. This beautiful and varied environment exudes tradition, peace and space.
