Cycling in Utrecht
Utrecht, despite being the smallest province in terms of land area in the Netherlands, boasts a highly diverse natural landscape and a rich cultural history. Polders adorned with meadows, moraines graced by forests, castles, and forts, as well as avenues lined with pollard willows, create an everyday tableau in present-day Utrecht. Cycle through the wooded hills of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, along the floodplains of the Lek River, or through the quintessentially Dutch peat meadow reserve known as Het Groene Hart.
