The best part? You can trace the history step by step in the Land van Cuijk. From the Roman times to the Middle Ages, and even the Second World War. The Maasheggen is the oldest cultural landscape in the Netherlands, where nature, landscape, economy, and culture are still perfectly intertwined. But what really stands out are the braided hedges around the meadows. Along with the hedgerows, meadows, watering holes, and aged pollard trees, they've been providing a safe haven for people, animals, and plants for centuries.
